The Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research (BMWF) has launched the national Genome Research Programme GEN-AU (GENome Research in Austria) in 2001.
A funding with a volume of 100 M€ is planned until 2010. The second call, planned for fall 2004, again includes the possibility for proposals on pathogenomics.
