Research Topics:
The group” Sensing environment and community lifestyle of P. aeruginosa” is working on i) deciphering the complex regulatory network that controls the transition between planctonic lifestyle and biofilm lifestyle and particular the role of the two-component systems in helping this lifestyle transition and ii) identifying and characterizing from the molecular, genetic and functional point of view of the various molecular machineries involved in biofilm structuration of this microorganism. This is illustrated in two recent papers from the lab: Ruer S, Ball G, Filloux A, de Bentzmann S. The “P-usher”, a novel protein transporter involved in fimbrial assembly and TpsA secretion . 2008.
